What is Aqiqah?

To offer an aqiqa or sacrifice for a newborn child is the Sunnah of the Prophet Muhammad (saws).

An aqiqa involves the sacrifice of two goats for a boy, with the meat being distributed to disadvantaged communities. It can be offered at any point after a child’s birth, but it is recommended to perform it within the first week.

Celebrate the birth of your newborn and share the joy with those in need through the Muslim Hands Aqiqa service.

Once your aqiqa has been completed you will receive a feedback photo of the aqiqa being carried out

Note: Due to the global Coronavirus pandemic, delivery of the aqiqa could be delayed. This will not affect the validity of your aqiqa in any way.
